One-time setup: Google Maps key

This map pulls a live list of places straight from Google — nothing to upload or maintain. It just needs your own Google Maps key (free tier is generous).

Go to the Google Maps Platform console and create/select a project.
Enable these APIs: Maps JavaScript API, Places API (New), Directions API, and Isochrones API.
Open Credentials → Create credentials → API key, then copy it.
Paste it below. It's saved only in this browser (localStorage) — never sent anywhere but Google.
